'40 Over 40' Project Terms + Conditions

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS OF USE CAREFULLY.

Thank you for joining my ’40 Over 40’ project! This is a celebration of beauty, resilience, and the incredible life journey that is womanhood.

By purchasing your ’40 Over 40 Portrait Package’, you agree to receive messages from Horizon Photography. We are committed to protecting your privacy and will not share your personal information.

1. Booking & Reservation

To secure your 40 Over 40 Portrait Experience, a non-refundable minimum retainer of $100 is required at the time of booking. This amount reserves your session date and time and covers pre-session consultation, planning, and stylist coordination.

2. Session Fee & Package Balance

The total cost of the 40 Over 40 Portrait Experience starts at $1490 and includes:

• Pre-session consultation and wardrobe guidance

• Professional hair and makeup

• Guided portrait session

• $1000 photography credit for 4 photographs of your choice (additional images available for purchase)

• Interview feature in our 40 Over 40 campaign

• Inclusion in the final exhibit and/or published showcase

The remaining balance (after retainer) is due no later than 7 days before the session date. Late payments may result in cancellation or rescheduling without refund of the retainer.

3. Payment Methods

We accept the following forms of payment:

• Credit/debit cards (via secure online invoice)

• Zelle or Venmo (please confirm account details before sending)

• Payment plans through PayPal

• All payments must be completed in U.S. dollars.

4. Rescheduling & Cancellations

We understand life happens. If you need to reschedule:

• Please provide at least 7 days' notice to reschedule your session without penalty.

• One reschedule is allowed per booking. Additional reschedules may incur a $100 rebooking fee.

• If you cancel completely, the initial retainer is non-refundable.

5. Image Selection & Purchase

Your private image reveal and ordering session will be scheduled within 2–3 weeks after your session. You may purchase additional images or print products at that time. All sales made during the reveal are final and non-refundable.

6. Late or Missed Appointments

Clients who arrive more than 30 minutes late may forfeit their session and retainer. 

No-shows will result in full forfeiture of all payments.

7. Studio Policies

• Images are for personal use only unless commercial licensing is discussed and agreed upon in writing.

• Payment for any digital files or printed products is due at the time of ordering.

• All purchased images include standard retouching. Additional edits may be subject to an additional fee.

8. Agreement

By booking a 40 Over 40 Portrait Experience with Horizon Portraits, you agree to these terms and conditions.

I have read and understand the above and agree upon the terms stated without exception on behalf of myself, my children, and any other parties in the photographs.
